Who sets the pricing?

REI Runner sets base investor pricing and runner payouts per assignment type, with adjustments for market, urgency, mileage, difficulty, and runner experience. Final pricing may vary by location, urgency, property access, assignment complexity, mileage, and runner availability.

Runners are independent contractors. They choose which assignments to accept and operate on their own schedule.

How are runners vetted?

Runners complete an application, agree to our code of conduct, and are reviewed before activation. Higher-tier tasks may require additional verification or experience level.

Each assignment has clear deliverables defined up front. If a deliverable is missing or unusable, contact support and we'll work with the runner to redo or refund.
